In this first course of my three-part Ayurveda for Athletes series, we dive into the cycles of nature that permeate our performance. Nature isn’t just something we’re witness to, it’s something that’s influencing us all the time…and Ayurveda reminds us that living, and training to the beat of this drum allows us to use the power of nature as a slingshot, instead of being sabotaged by its subtlety.

In this course, we’ll cover:

  • The basic principles of Ayurveda, and the fluctuation of the doshas
  • Seasonal shifts, what they are and how to accommodate them
  • Circadian rhythms, and how to align with them
  • Daily cycles, and how to optimize them

You’ll walk away with:

  • a working knowledge of the basics of Ayurveda and it’s principles
  • a better understanding of your doshic constitution, and how to manage it
  • a framework within which to build your training, racing and rest schedules on an annual, monthly + daily basis through the lens of Ayurveda
  • an understanding of how to build a calendar that optimizes your potential and prowess
