Over the years, I’ve become less and less the person who buys gifts and more the person who makes, bakes or cooks them. In the space of time between Thanksgiving and New Year’s Day, I find myself searching out every opportunity to host friends for festive meals, whip up care packages of home-baked treats, or share jars of whatever special summer ingredient I hoarded and turned into jam, jelly or preserves. Here are a few favorite things I’m thinking about as I’m sharing this love language with friends and family this time of year.
