This homemade boullion was inspired by a BRILLIANT idea from renowned cookbook author Heidi Swanson of 101 Cookbooks, who never fails to surprise and delight me with the magical ways she makes a lot of good with very little in her California kitchen.

Making your own bone broth or stock is amazing, but sometimes you just don’t have any on hand or any time to whip it up. For those pinches, this boullion is a lifesaver. Use 1 tablespoon of homemade boullion powder for every cup of liquid in your soup or stew recipe, or use it to make a single bowl of broth for noodles and the like.
