Hello dear ones! And Happy New Year!
Now that we’re *technically* through the holiday swirl, many of us will find contentment and relief in getting back to grounding; settling into the new year with practices that support and nourish us, maybe creating new routines or rituals to help us stretch ourselves in gentle and worthwhile ways…and for me, this always starts in the kitchen.
Behind the collective energy of “new year newness,” there’s a steady settling happening in the natural world. We’re hunkering down for winter, and turning in. Our bodies love this time – it’s when we restore, recover and regenerate for the year ahead.
This month’s recipes and ingredients reflect this grounding, settling and stabilizing. The bounty has left the fields, and yet there’s a deep abundance of roots and veggies eager to shine for you in these dark months. You’ll notice that heavier animal proteins have retreated back into the folds, and that warm dishes dominate the recipes – the meals we recommend enjoying in the winter are VERY different now than they were in the summer, so if you’re still eating the same thing it’s a good time to check in. ; )
Because I want this menu, and it’s accompanying ingredient list to truly help you to nourish yourself in alignment with the seasons, I’ve also created a little guide on How to Use Monthly Menus + Ingredient Lists. Give it a read if you’re feeling stuck!
Without further ado, here is your January Menu + Ingredient List!
